  1. Withholding tax on construction materials is to be waived off, excluding cement and iron
  2. There would no longer be unnecessary inquiries about source of income for those investing in the construction sector
  3. Tax rates would now be fixed for, as they would be charged per square foot or square yard
  4. Capital gain tax on properties would no longer be charged
  5. A subsidy of 30 billion rupees would be paid to the Naya Pakistan housing scheme for the poor
  6. A construction industry development board is to be established
